The La Salle Explorers will spend the weekend at the Mount St. Charles (R.I.) Academy tournament in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
The Explorers dropped their opener to Franklin (Mass.) 3-2 in overtime Friday night. They’ll face the loser of a matchup between the host team, Mount St. Charles, and Bishop Guertin (New Hampshire) in a consolation game 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The other half includes Fairfield (Connecticut) Prep, Bishop Hendricken from Rhode Island, St. Joseph’s Collegiate from Buffalo, N.Y. and DeMatha from Maryland.
The tournament runs through Sunday.
