Flyers Cup Day Three

There will be no Fl;yers Cup action this evening. The four Class A quarterfinal games scheduled for Wednesday will all be played Thursday instead.

Weather permitting, 11 Flyers Cup games will be played on Thursday; the quarterfinal games in all three boys’ divisions.

St. Joseph’s Prep and LaSalle to Meet in Benefit Hockey Game

LaSalle High School and St. Joseph’s Prep will meet Monday afternoon, February 5 at the University of Pennsylvania’s Class of 1923 rink (3:30 start) to honor the memory of the late Salvatore Di Nubile.

The St. Joseph’s Prep student and hockey player was shot and killed in South Philadelphia this past October.

The school has established a scholarship in his name and all receipts from Monday’s game have been earmarked to fund that scholarship.

The day’s festivities will include music and a 50/50 drawing.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 students.

The rink is located at 3130 Walnut Street in Philadelphia
